Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davonte Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapata comes into the arena with Tres Delinquentes blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alejandro Zapata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Willis checks a leg kick.
Willis slips under a jab.
Willis is looking to land body kicks.
Zapata lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Willis scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Willis throws a front kick aimed at Zapata's knee but Zapata avoids it well.
Zapata misses with a hook. Willis ducked under it nicely.
Zapata fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Willis manages to avoid it.
Zapata explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Zapata tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Willis swivels and escapes.
Zapata lands a nice shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice inside leg kick there by Willis. That's going to slow Zapata down.
A low kick from Willis is predictable there
and Zapata counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Willis throws a wild body kick that Zapata sees coming a mile off.
Zapata rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Willis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zapata takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Willis.
Zapata throws a hook but Willis blocks it.
Willis slips under a jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Willis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Zapata throws a half hearted mid kick.
Willis lands a nice looking body kick.
Willis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zapata takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Zapata shoots in looking for a takedown. Willis tries to sprawl out of it but Zapata keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Willis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A low kick from Willis is predictable there
enabling Zapata to counter with a crisp jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Willis slaps away a takedown attempt from Zapata, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Zapata. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Willis pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Zapata shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Willis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Zapata is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Willis has escaped the position, nice work there.

Zapata has an Americana. Willis didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Zapata is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Zapata hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
