The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loureiro gets caught flat footed, as Smido shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rafael Loureiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Loureiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Smido swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
