Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Mines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Cyantan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyantan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Flagpole Sitta. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mines throws a head kick but Cyantan moves out of range.
Cyantan throws a solid leg kick but Mines takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cyantan. Cyantan throws a head kick that misses. Mines misses with a low kick.
Cyantan stuffs the takedown attempt from Mines. Mines gets slowly back to his feet. Cyantan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cyantan gets the takedown into side control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Cyantan looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mines is avoiding damage well.

Mines is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cyantan off and has taken his back! Cyantan is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mines is trying to stick to Cyantan's back but Cyantan is turning into Mines. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mines's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cyantan. Cyantan cracks Mines with a solid left hand. Cyantan wants to control from the top but Mines keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cyantan stands up over Mines, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cyantan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cyantan thows a big elbow that misses. Cyantan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cyantan pushes down on Mines's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cyantan is trying to work for a kimura but Mines is defending well.

Cyantan is nestled in close to Mines, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Mines is trying to maintain the position but Cyantan is very close to passing his half guard. Cyantan drops an elbow to the side of Mines's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cyantan is working for a submission of some sort.

Cyantan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cyantan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Cyantan escapes and gets back to his feet. Cyantan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mines shoots for a double leg takedown but Cyantan sprawls well. He's pushed Mines's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cyantan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mines. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kris Mines. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mines avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mines throws a quick inside leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cyantan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mines. Nice takedown defense from Mines. No joy for Cyantan on that attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cyantan creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mines is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cyantan's leg. Ryan Cyantan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mines pushes Cyantan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cyantan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mines uses from the top position. Mines trying to control the position from guard on top but Cyantan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cyantan is working an open guard so Mines takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Cyantan doesn't manage to clinch there - Mines circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cyantan working a defensive guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cyantan has a closed guard, preventing Mines from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Cyantan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cyantan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
