Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Golab!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kirk Vaux!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golab fails with a takedown attempt.
Vaux looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Vaux misses with a body shot.

Golab closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vaux quickly recovers to half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Golab throwing shots but Vaux is blocking nicely.

Vaux is defending against the submission attempts here by Golab.

Golab is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Golab is looking for a kimura here.
Golab missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vaux tries to roll over but Golab keeps him under control.

Golab is looking for a kimura but Vaux is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Golab to get the leverage.
Golab has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Golab is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Vaux still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Vaux has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Golab gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Golab slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vaux accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Golab lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vaux!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Golab jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vaux is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vaux and Golab has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vaux is pushing Golab's head away, looking to escape. Golab manages to hold on to the position though.
Golab moves into full mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Golab is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Vaux has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Vaux!

Golab is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Vaux rolls with it to try and escape but Golab cranks on the arm and Vaux is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
