Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Takahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Glasgow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glasgow is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sail by Armin van Buuren. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Takahara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Glasgow! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glasgow pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Glasgow cracks a nice hook into Takahara's ribs. Takahara tries a head kick but it misses.
Glasgow misses with a few strikes there.
Glasgow closes the distance and clinches. Takahara looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Glasgow lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Glasgow leaning his opponent against the cage. Glasgow working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Glasgow throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Takahara is trying to break the clinch but Glasgow is controlling him. Takahara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Glasgow lands a head shot. Takahara misses the jab. Takahara looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Glasgow lands the left hand. Glasgow throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahara takes a jab right on the kisser.
Takahara dives in and scores a takedown into Glasgow's guard. Takahara would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glasgow controlling Takahara's posture.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Glasgow on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takahara. Takahara obviously looking to wear him down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Takahara lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Glasgow has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Glasgow and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Glasgow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takahara throws out the jab. Glasgow throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Takahara stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Takahara leaves Glasgow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Takahara throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Glasgow's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takahara throws a right and a left that both miss. Takahara scores with a leg kick.
Glasgow checks the leg kick nicely there.
Glasgow jabs at Takahara's body. Shinji Takahara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takahara has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Glasgow. Glasgow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takahara.
Glasgow works the jab nicely. Takahara swings away with a leg kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahara is trying hard to land a takedown here. Glasgow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Glasgow lands a jab to the nose. A lazy left from Glasgow finds it's target. Takahara looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Glasgow pushes Takahara up against the cage in a clinch. Glasgow has Takahara pushed against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Glasgow obliges. Takahara is breathing heavily. Takahara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Takahara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Glasgow pinned against the cage. Glasgow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Takahara misses with an attempted mid kick.
Takahara misses with a left hand enabling Glasgow to counter with a crisp jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Glasgow is defended easily by Takahara. Glasgow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glasgow lands a jab-cross combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Takahara misses with a straight left. Glasgow lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Takahara closes the distance and clinches up with Glasgow, looking for a takedown. Takahara pushes Glasgow against the cage but Glasgow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinji Takahara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Glasgow shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Takahara is trying to defend but Glasgow finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Glasgow drops an elbow to the side of Takahara's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Glasgow throwing shots but Takahara is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Glasgow dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Glasgow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takahara paws at him with a jab and circles away. Takahara throws a nice looking combination but Glasgow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Takahara fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Glasgow lands with an uppercut that bounces Takahara off the cage and back into range. Glasgow fails with an attempt to clinch.
Takahara scoring well with a low kick there.
Glasgow scores with a jab to the body. Takahara takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Glasgow changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takahara looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Takahara takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Glasgow is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Takahara is trying to escape and Glasgow transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Takahara is forced to tap! Nice work there by Glasgow! Very nice indeed!
