Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maki Kaze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Travis Corino! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaze keeps the fight on the outside. Corino tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kaze manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Corino is looking to clinch but Kaze is avoiding it.

Corino tries to score with a low kick but Kaze moves his leg out of the way. Corino moves into the clinch. Kaze is trying to push Corino away but Corino has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Corino tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kaze's elbow. Corino tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kaze avoids it. Kaze blocks the elbow strike.

Corino misses with a hook from the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kaze. Corino misses with an elbow strike.
Kaze is working for takedown but Corino is calmly controlling the position for now. Corino misses with a body punch.
Corino is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kaze is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Corino to the mat. Corino regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corino wants to stand and escape but Kaze is having none of it. Kaze trying to control but Corino is working from the bottom. Kaze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kaze drops back looking for a leg! Corino is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Corino manages to kick Kaze off! Kaze jumps back into Corino's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kaze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kaze wants to control from the top but Corino keeps moving. Kaze advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaze is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Corino looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kaze gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Corino is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kaze lets go of the hold and Corino can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Maki Kaze!
