Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blaise Lamont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blaise Lamont! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guillermo Gomez! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Gomez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lamont finds it's way round the side to connect with Gomez's head. Gomez tries to clinch but Lamont moves out of range. Lamont circles away from the clinch attempt and Lamont connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A slow jab from Lamont misses its intended target. Lamont throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gomez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Gomez throws a head kick that misses. Lamont turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Gomez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Lamont displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gomez darts in trying to clinch and Lamont makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lamont throws a one two combo.
Gomez doesn't manage to clinch there - Lamont circles away.
Gomez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lamont manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lamont connects with a right hand. Gomez shakes it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomez wants to clinch but Lamont slips to the side and Lamont counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gomez is rocked! A punch combination from Gomez misses. Gomez is still on wobbly legs! Can Lamont finish him? Gomez fails to land with a series of punches.
Gomez seems to have recovered his senses. Lamont lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lamont uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gomez has time to react. Lamont drops Gomez with a naaaaasty hook - Gomez is in real trouble here! Lamont dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blaise Lamont!
