The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Vasquez lands an impressive looking overhand right. ahr doesn't seem phased though.
ahr avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
ahr drives through with a takedown into guard.
ahr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as ahr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
ahr won't allow Vasquez to sweep him here.
Vasquez keeping full guard, as ahr tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ahr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Vasquez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. ahr doesn't defend quickly enough and Vasquez has managed to lock this one up! Can ahr escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Vasquez on a fantastic submission victory.
