Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake The (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richards kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Into the Fire. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The scoring well with a low kick there.
The tries to close the distance and clinch up but Richards swats him away and circles back towards the center. Richards rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The delivers a nice body kick. The avoids the body shot from Richards.
Richards looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The scores with a head kick.

Jeez, Mickey Richards's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no The has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Oh Richards is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
