Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julian Linguist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Julian Linguist has been cut.
Shamrock throws a right hand that Linguist ducks under and follows up with a left that Linguist also avoids with ease.
Linguist misses the shot to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Linguist.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Shamrock slips a jab from Linguist.
Linguist misses with an uppercut
and Shamrock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Linguist looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shamrock is fending him off so far but Linguist persists. Nope, Shamrock circles away and we're back to standing.

Linguist shoots for a takedown but Shamrock saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Linguist swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

A punch lands to the side of Shamrock 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Linguist has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shamrock finds it's way round the side to connect with Linguist's head.
Shamrock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A right-left combo lands from Shamrock.
Linguist looks to land a right hand but Shamrock moved out of range.

Shamrock scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Linguist doesn't seem bothered though.

Shamrock fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Linguist looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Shamrock scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Shamrock lands a two punch combo.

Julian Linguist's cut is getting worse.
Shamrock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Linguist moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Linguist lands a nice hook to Shamrock's body. Shamrock takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Linguist shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shamrock sprawls well. Shamrock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Linguist gets slowly back to his feet.
Shamrock fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Linguist looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Shamrock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Linguist fails with a takedown attempt.

and Shamrock counters with a three punch combo that has Linguist backing up. Linguist nods at Shamrock to acknowledge the strikes.

Shamrock lands a left and a right that send Linguist crashing to the mat, dazed. Shamrock thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Linguist is rocked!
Shamrock throws a right and a left that both miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Linguist is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shamrock.
Nice shot lands for Shamrock.
Shamrock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Linguist shoots in looking for a takedown. Shamrock tries to sprawl out of it but Linguist keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shamrock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shamrock throws a series of strikes that have Linguist backpedaling.

Julian Linguist's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Shamrock moves out of range of the strikes.
Brock Shamrock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A combination from Linguist does no damage.
Brock Shamrock is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Brock Shamrock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shamrock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
