The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amarela takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Czech looks to land a combination. Amarela sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Amarela closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Czech uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Czech fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Amarela looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Czech lands a nice looking body shot.
Amarela takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Czech misses with a wild body shot.
Amarela tries to score a power double leg takedown but Czech sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Amarela somewhat.

Czech fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Amarela manages to avoid it.

Amarela has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Amarela or perhaps it was just good defense by Czech which made him look bad.
Peter Czech has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abelinha Amarela.

Amarela throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Czech's waist but Czech gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amarela off to one side.

Czech lands a nice hook to Amarela's body. Amarela takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Czech lands a really nice looking cross but Amarela seems unphased.

Czech throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Amarela crashing down! Amarela tries to stagger back to his feet but Czech just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Amarela asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
