Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Brandon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bunner Benjamin!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benjamin shoots in for a takedown but Brandon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Benjamin has a takedown stuffed.
Benjamin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brandon's waist but Brandon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Benjamin off to one side.
Jim Brandon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bunner Benjamin.
Brandon tries to clinch but Benjamin moves out of range.
Benjamin with a lazy takedown attempt
and Brandon counters with a head kick that drops Benjamin to the mat! Benjamin scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brandon throws a powerful right kick. Benjamin tried to block low but the kick was high! Benjamin was taken right off of his feet! Brandon jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
