Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Willis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Akihito Tatsuhiko! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis swings widly with a right hand
and Tatsuhiko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Willis misses with a combination
and Tatsuhiko counters with a nice uppercut. Willis throws a shot from downtown. Tatsuhiko moves away and avoids it. Willis throws a lazy head kick and Tatsuhiko counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A punch combination from Willis misses. Willis throws a sloppy body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Willis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Tatsuhiko swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsuhiko closes the distance and clinches. Willis is trying to break the clinch but Tatsuhiko is controlling him. Willis tries to circle away but Tatsuhiko has him pinned against the cage. Willis tries to break free but Tatsuhiko pushes him back against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Tatsuhiko. Tatsuhiko pulls guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Willis stands up from Tatsuhiko's guard - Willis perhaps looking for a knockout. Tatsuhiko swinging wildly here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tatsuhiko looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cody Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko throws a jab when Willis was well out of range. The fighters circling - Willis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tatsuhiko. Willis shrugs it off though. Danga de danga de dang - Willis scores with a four punch combination! Tatsuhiko tries to clinch up. Willis throws a right and a left that both miss. Willis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Willis throws a leg kick that is checked and Tatsuhiko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Willis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tatsuhiko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Willis. Willis lands a nice hook to Tatsuhiko's body. Tatsuhiko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Willis misses with a two punch combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Willis misses with a right hand and Tatsuhiko moves into the clinch. A short left from Tatsuhiko. Tatsuhiko keeps control of Willis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tatsuhiko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Willis throws a leg kick but Tatsuhiko checks it. Willis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Willis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tatsuhiko counters with a nice leg kick. Tatsuhiko misses with a low kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Willis thows a left - swing and a miss! Willis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That was a close round but I would say that Cody Willis will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tatsuhiko walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Tatsuhiko tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Willis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Willis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tatsuhiko. Willis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Willis's corner calls for a 1-2. Willis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Tatsuhiko checks a leg kick. Nice shot by Willis. Willis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tatsuhiko.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsuhiko avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Willis throws the left hand but Tatsuhiko avoids the punch easily. Willis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cody Willis is winning the standup battle so far. A big left from Willis misses. Tatsuhiko thows a body shot but no joy. Willis throws a nice looking combination but Tatsuhiko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tatsuhiko fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Willis lands a slapping body shot.

and Tatsuhiko counters with a straight right hand. Nice straight punches there by Tatsuhiko. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tatsuhiko. Tatsuhiko rushes Willis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tatsuhiko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tatsuhiko connects with an inside leg kick. Tatsuhiko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Willis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tatsuhiko. Willis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tatsuhiko was well out of range. Poor timing from Willis. Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tatsuhiko walks into a jab. Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but Willis is having none of it. Tatsuhiko on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tatsuhiko takes one to the chin there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko throws a combination. Willis tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Willis throws an off balance right hand

Tatsuhiko wants to clinch up but Willis keeps it at a distance. Willis drops his hands momentarily and Tatsuhiko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Willis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tatsuhiko.
Willis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tatsuhiko throws out the jab. Willis throws a jab but it's blocked by Tatsuhiko. Willis is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but Willis moves out of range. Tatsuhiko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Willis. Willis misses with a right hand and Tatsuhiko counters with a right hand to the body. Tatsuhiko misses the shot to the body. Some bone on bone action there as Tatsuhiko checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Tatsuhiko darts in and clinches Willis up against the cage. Tatsuhiko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Willis ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A right-left combo lands from Tatsuhiko.

Tatsuhiko tests Willis's chin there with a solid looking shot. Willis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tatsuhiko takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tatsuhiko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tatsuhiko throws a series of punches but Willis avoids them all with ease. Willis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tatsuhiko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Akihito Tatsuhiko. I think Willis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
