Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Padeiro Chucro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klaus Hoffmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chucro's entrance music is Nikolay Emelin - Rus. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Klaus Hoffmann was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Padeiro Chucro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klaus Hoffmann!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chucro lands with a shot to the body.
Hoffmann tries to clinch but Chucro moves away
and Chucro counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hoffmann thinking.
Hoffmann gets caught flat footed, as Chucro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chucro is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Chucro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hoffmann tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Padeiro Chucro.
Chucro changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Chucro explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Hoffmann takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Hoffmann shoots in for a takedown but Chucro shows good takedown defense.

Chucro clobbers Hoffmann with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Klaus Hoffmann has been cut.
Hoffmann closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hoffmann tries a knee to the head but Chucro blocks it.
Hoffmann takes a shot to the head.
Chucro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Chucro fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hoffmann takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Hoffmann takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Chucro misses with a kick to the body.
Hoffmann tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chucro keeps Hoffmann at a distance using the push kick.
Chucro ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Chucro tried to score with a low kick but Hoffmann checks it.
Chucro chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Chucro feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hoffmanns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Chucro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hoffmann doesn't seem bothered though.
Chucro cracks the inside of Hoffmann's front leg.
Chucro lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hoffmann's sensitive parts.

Chucro keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hoffmann walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chucro.
Chucro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hoffmann takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hoffmann on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chucro. Chucro obviously looking to wear him down.
Chucro moves out of range of the body kick from Hoffmann.
Chucro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hoffmann did well to prevent Chucro getting side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chucro works his foot free and advances to mount.

Chucro lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Chucro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hoffmann tries to clinch but Chucro is having none of it.

Chucro is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hoffmann lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chucro circles away quickly and effectively.

Chucro presses Hoffmann against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Still in the clinch, Chucro scores with a nice short uppercut.

Chucro throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Hoffmann fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Chucro lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hoffmann or not.
Chucro lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Chucro.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chucro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chucro seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hoffmann for as long as he can get away with.
