Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Megani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez has chosen Send The Pain Below-Chevelle as his entrance music. Luigi Megani has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luigi Megani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gonzalez ducks under a wild hook from Megani. The fighters circle momentarily. Megani darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Gonzalez tries to close the distance and clinch but Megani swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Megani loads up on a big right hand but Gonzalez slips the punch. Gonzalez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Megani throws a hook but Gonzalez blocks it. Gonzalez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Megani throws a hook but Gonzalez blocks it. Megani throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gonzalez sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gonzalez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gonzalez tries to clinch up and Megani counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gonzalez tries to clinch up. Megani throws a hook to the side of Gonzalez's head but Gonzalez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gonzalez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Megani is fending him off so far but Gonzalez persists. Nope, Megani circles away and we're back to standing. Luigi Megani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Gonzalez. Gonzalez is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gonzalez closes the distance looking to clinch and Megani counters with a shoot takedown. Gonzalez fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Megani trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzalez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Megani thows a big elbow that misses. Megani looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Megani postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Megani pushing down on Gonzalez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Megani landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gonzalez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Megani scores with a couple of nice shots. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Megani sitting and controlling from the half guard. Megani lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Gonzalez is staying active underneath Megani, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Megani perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gonzalez looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Megani's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Luigi Megani. Megani closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gonzalez to the mat! Gonzalez manages to get full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Megani accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Megani content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Megani missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Megani is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Luigi Megani has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Megani circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gonzalez moves in looking to clinch but Megani pushes him off. Gonzalez misses with a takedown and Megani counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Megani is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
It looks like Carlos Gonzalez has been cut. Megani scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Gonzalez is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Megani lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gonzalez quite badly. Gonzalez pulls Megani in close trying to recover. Megani postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gonzalez on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gonzalez doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luigi Megani! A less than humble Luigi Megani misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
