Bardsley comes to the cage accompanied by Crazy - Gnarls Barkley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Bardsley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bardsley tries to clinch there but Bishop circles away.
Bishop misses with a jab, cross combination.
Some wild striking there from Bishop.
Bishop misses the shot to the body.
A punch combination from Bishop misses.
Bishop throws a lazy uppercut

and Bardsley moves into the clinch.
Bishop tries to break the clinch but Bardsley is controlling the position.
Bishop wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Knees in the clinch landing for Bardsley.

Bishop escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Bishop misses.
Bishop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bishop throws a nice looking combination but Bardsley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Marcus Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bardsley has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bardsley with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bardsley throws an elbow but it misses.
Bishop is trying to break the clinch but Bardsley is controlling him.

Bardsley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bardsley scores with a kick to the body.

Bardsley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bardsley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Bardsley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Bardsley tries to control but Bishop wriggling away.

We're going to have a standup here because Jason Bardsley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bishop falls off balance throwing a combination

and Bardsley moves into the clinch.
Bishop blocks an elbow strike from Bardsley.
Bardsley taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Bardsley is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bishop is defending well for now.
Bardsley tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Bishop breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bardsley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bishop swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bardsley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bishop pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bardsley tries to clinch but Bishop moves out of range.
Bardsley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Marcus Bishop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bardsley wants to clinch.
Bishop thows a left - swing and a miss!

Bishop clinches up with Bardsley and pushes him back against the cage.
Bardsley tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bardsley lands with a short shot to the head.
Bardsley misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bardsley misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bishop.
Bishop has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Bishop breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Some wild striking there from Bishop.
Bardsley tries to land a front kick but Bishop steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bishop takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bishop throws a nice looking combination but Bardsley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bishop cracks Bardsley with an open hand slap.
Bishop throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bardsley counters with a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bishop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bardsley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bishop pinned against the cage. Bishop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bardsley moves in looking to clinch but Bishop pushes him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bishop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Bishop. No joy for Bardsley on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Bardsley dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bardsley checks the leg kick nicely there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bardsley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bardsley has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bishop.
Bardsley tries to clinch but Bishop moves out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Bishop.
Bishop scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Jason Bardsley has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bardsley blocks a head kick by Bishop.
Bishop misses with a double jab.
Bishop throws a combination that misses

and Bardsley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bardsley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bardsley tries to land a knee to the head but Bishop blocks with his arms.
Bardsley misses with an elbow over the top.

Bishop breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bishop is breathing heavily.
Bishop throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Bardsley clinches up with Bishop and pushes him back against the cage.
Bardsley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bishop wants to get back to striking at distance but Bardsley won't allow it.
Bardsley misses with an elbow strike.
Bishop takes an elbow to the temple.
Bardsley tries to stall but Bishop uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bardsley wants a takedown but no success here.
Bardsley throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Bardsley scores with a shot to the side of Bishop's head.

Bishop manages to break the clinch.
Bardsley staying out of range there.
Bishop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bishop throws a big shot that misses.
Bardsley on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bishop lands with a nice combination. Bardsley backs away looking to recover.


Bardsley is rocked!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bishop throws a monster overhand right that drops Bardsley! Bishop follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
