Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaakko Peto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricardo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ricardo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Peto.
Peto throws the left hand but Ricardo avoids the punch easily.
Peto throws a lazy right hand but Ricardo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ricardo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Peto.
Peto comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Peto throws a series of punches but Ricardo moves out of range.

Peto throws a lazy right hand but Ricardo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Peto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Peto bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ricardo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peto tries to avoid it but Ricardo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peto to the ground. Peto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jaakko Peto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peto throws a nice looking combination but Ricardo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ricardo shoots in for a double leg but Peto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Peto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ricardo avoids the attempt from Peto to control.
Ricardo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Peto regains half guard.
Peto is looking to improve his position.
Ricardo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peto is just riding it out for now. Ricardo eventually gives up the hold.

Peto tries to kick Ricardo off but Ricardo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Ricardo wants to pass to mount but Peto is defending the position.
Peto manages to get to full guard.
Ricardo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ricardo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Peto to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ricardo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Peto pulls down on the head and he's put Ricardo to sleep! This one is all over!
