Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Rayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kennedy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Still Remains-The Worst Is Yet To Come. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donald Rayne! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rayne swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kennedy. Rayne connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rayne listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kennedy checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Rayne lands a slapping body shot.
Rayne throws a series of punches but Kennedy avoids them all with ease. Rayne throws a combination. Kennedy tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Some wild striking there from Rayne.
Rayne throws the left hand but Kennedy avoids the punch easily. Kennedy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rayne's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rayne keeping full guard, as Kennedy tries to pass. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kennedy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kennedy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rayne, up you get! Rayne punishes Kennedy's body with a nice straight punch. Kennedy gets a double leg takedown into Rayne's guard. Kennedy passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy seems to be working for a kimura but Rayne defends the submission attempt. Kennedy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy moves into full mount! Rayne won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kennedy working for a guillotine from mount but Rayne is in no mood to give up. Kennedy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kennedy looking for a guillotine from mount but Rayne is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kennedy wants to take his opponent's back but Rayne doesn't allow it. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Kennedy dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rayne stuffs the takedown. Rayne thows a left - swing and a miss! Rayne swings for the body but Kennedy moves out of range.
Kennedy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rayne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kennedy tries for a takedown but Rayne circles away easily enabling Rayne to counter with a crisp jab. Rayne bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kennedy's head backwards. Kennedy avoids the body shot from Rayne.
Kennedy slips a straight right by Rayne. A big right from Rayne misses. Rayne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kennedy manages to avoid it. Rayne misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayne scores with a hook to the body. Kennedy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A big left from Rayne misses. Rayne lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Rayne is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A swing and a miss from Kennedy. Rayne misses with a low kick as Kennedy jumps back. Donald Rayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rayne tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rayne. Kennedy does a little dance to reset his feet. Rayne swings for the body but Kennedy moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rayne.
Kennedy throws a looping overhand right but Rayne ducks down to avoid it. Kennedy blocks a low kick nicely. Rayne attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Rayne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rayne wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Kennedy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy ducks under a wild hook from Rayne. Kennedy misses with a takedown attempt - Rayne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rayne jabs Kennedy to the body, keeping him at a distance. Rayne throws a low kick but Kennedy moves out of range easily. Rayne swinging wildly here.
Rayne misses with a hook. Kennedy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rayne.
Rayne is breathing heavily. Rayne fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kennedy checks it well. Kennedy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rayne tries to avoid it but Kennedy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rayne to the ground. Rayne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rayne scores with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kennedy takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rayne is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kennedy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rayne is just riding it out for now. Kennedy eventually gives up the hold. Kennedy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rayne defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kennedy maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rayne could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kennedy has cracked it and Rayne is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kennedy!
