Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos throws a leg kick but Schwarzeneg sees it coming and moves out of range.
Santos keeps the fight on the outside.
Santos circles away from the clinch attempt.
A right-left combo lands from Santos.
Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Santos throws a wild body kick that Schwarzeneg sees coming a mile off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Santos enables Schwarzeneg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Santos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Schwarzeneg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Brian Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Santos.
Santos tries to land a leg kick but Schwarzeneg saw it coming and moves away.
Santos tries a head kick but it misses.
Santos slaps away a takedown attempt from Schwarzeneg, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Schwarzeneg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Schwarzeneg drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Schwarzeneg has Santos in his guard.
Santos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Santos keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Schwarzeneg's head.
Schwarzeneg seems keen to control Santos's posture.
Let's hope that Schwarzeneg has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santos wants to control from the top but Schwarzeneg keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schwarzeneg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santos's guard.

Schwarzeneg drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Schwarzeneg off! Schwarzeneg jumps back into Santos's guard.
Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Schwarzeneg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Schwarzeneg stands up out of the half guard.
Santos throws a right hand that Schwarzeneg ducks under and follows up with a left that Schwarzeneg also avoids with ease.
Schwarzeneg fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Santos lands a nice shot that snaps Schwarzeneg's head back.
Santos misses with the combination.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Santos, as that shot connected.
Santos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A combination from Santos does no damage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Schwarzeneg closes the distance and clinches.
Santos doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Schwarzeneg tries for a takedown. No joy.
Brian Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Schwarzeneg.

Schwarzeneg has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Santos uses from the top position.

Schwarzeneg has his foot on Santos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Santos works his way back into a safe position though.
Schwarzeneg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Santos!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Santos keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Santos tries to hold on but Schwarzeneg postures up.
Schwarzeneg lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Schwarzeneg cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Schwarzeneg has control of Santos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Santos regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Santos wants to hold on but Schwarzeneg pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Schwarzeneg dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Santos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Schwarzeneg looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Santos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A head kick misses from Santos.
Santos misses with a double jab

and Schwarzeneg counters with a takedown into side control.
Santos is trying to escape the position but Schwarzeneg is controlling the position.
Santos dodges the ground and pound from Schwarzeneg.
Santos pushes Schwarzeneg away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Schwarzeneg gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Schwarzeneg decides to stand up, so the ref orders Santos to his feet.
Brian Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Santos misses with a series of wild punches.

Santos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Santos wants it to stay on the feet.
Brian Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Santos throws a right hand that Schwarzeneg ducks under and follows up with a left that Schwarzeneg also avoids with ease.
Schwarzeneg moves in looking to clinch but Santos pushes him off.

Schwarzeneg dives in and scores a takedown into Santos's guard.

Schwarzeneg drops back, looking for a kneebar! Santos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Santos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Santos!
Santos taking a break here but Schwarzeneg is having none of it and regains half guard.
Schwarzeneg is controlling Santos's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Schwarzeneg is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Santos is tapping! Great win for Schwarzeneg!
