Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Homer Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Scaum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homer Simpson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Scaum! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simpson tries to keep at a distance but Scaum has taken the fight into the clinch. Scaum can't get the takedown.
Simpson breaks from the clinch.
Simpson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Scaum avoids the head kick by Simpson.
Simpson wants to clinch up but Scaum keeps it at a distance. Simpson throws a sloppy head kick and Scaum moves out of range easily. Scaum fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Scaum clinches. Simpson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Scaum has hold of one of Simpson's legs. Simpson is fighting the takedown attempt but Scaum gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Scaum content to stall in guard here. Simpson wants to stand but Scaum is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simpson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Scaum controls the pace. Scaum tries to free his leg and advance position but Simpson is retaining full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dave Scaum was stalling too much, according to the referee. Horrible takedown by Scaum or perhaps it was just good defense by Simpson which made him look bad. Homer Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Scaum. Scaum tries to clinch up. Scaum wants to clinch. Scaum tries to clinch but Simpson is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scaum fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Simpson avoids it really well and circles away. Scaum shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Simpson as he avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Simpson. Simpson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick misses from Simpson. Scaum fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Simpson throws a sloppy head kick and Scaum moves out of range easily. Scaum misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick by Simpson misses so Scaum counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Simpson wants to stand up but Scaum is controlling him. Scaum slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dave Scaum hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Simpson keeps the fight on the outside. Simpson throws a head kick but Scaum moves out of range.

Simpson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Scaum decides to pull guard. Simpson wanted to stand there but Scaum had control of the position. Scaum manages to escape and get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Simpson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Simpson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Scaum has closed the distance and engaged Simpson in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Scaum dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Scaum is working Simpson over with some ground and pound from side control. Scaum has knee on belly and moves into mount. Scaum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Scaum throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Simpson because Scaum loaded up on that one.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Scaum cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scaum with the ground and pound from mount. Scaum wants to control the pace but Simpson is squirming around nicely. Scaum controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simpson wants to try and get back to his feet. Simpson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Scaum controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simpson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Scaum is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Simpson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Simpson shrugs it off. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scaum stands up from mount. Strange move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Scaum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Scaum looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Donk. Scaum catches Simpson right on the button with a cross. Simpson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick by Simpson misses and Scaum counters by moving into the clinch. Simpson is pressed up against the cage. Scaum has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Simpson down to the mat. Simpson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Scaum changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simpson tries to avoid it but Scaum manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simpson to the ground. Simpson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Homer Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Scaum. Simpson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scaum.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Simpson scores with a head kick. Scaum tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Simpson tries a head kick but it misses.

Nope, Simpson circles away and we're back to standing. Homer Simpson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Simpson keeps the fight on the outside. Scaum blocks a head kick by Simpson.

Homer Simpson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Scaum is pulling down on Simpson's head to control his posture. Simpson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Scaum pushes Simpson off and gets back to his feet.
Scaum will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scaum displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Homer Simpson is winning the standup battle so far. Scaum fails to land with a series of punches.

Scaum shoots for a takedown but Simpson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Homer Simpson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Scaum keeps the fight on the outside. Scaum blocks a head kick by Simpson.
Simpson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Simpson tries to clinch up and Scaum counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Simpson! Scaum takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scaum throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Scaum comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Scaum winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
