Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ruanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Schilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schilt has chosen The Who - Baba O'Riley as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gilbert Schilt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruanti lands with a nice body kick.
Schilt connects with a solid leg kick.
Schilt throws a head kick but Ruanti moves out of range.
Ruanti swings for the body but Schilt moves out of range.
Ruanti throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ruanti scores with a nice body kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Schilt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ruanti throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Daniel Ruanti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schilt has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ruanti.
Ruanti dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ruanti feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Schilts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Schilt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ruanti bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Schilt's head backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ruanti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ruanti connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Schilt tries to move into range but Ruanti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ruanti dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Schilt. That did some damage!

Ruanti tries for a takedown but Schilt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Schilt enables Ruanti to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Schilt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Schilt is still in real trouble! Can Ruanti finish him?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schilt throws a series of punches but Ruanti avoids them all with ease.
Ruanti manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Schilt on his heels. He'll look to pass Schilt's guard now, I'm sure.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ruanti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schilt moves away.

Ruanti does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Ruanti throws a low kick but Schilt moves out of range easily.
Schilt throws a looping overhand right but Ruanti ducks down to avoid it.
Schilt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Schilt throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ruanti on the side of the head.

Schilt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ruanti paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Schilt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Schilt throws out a loose jab but Ruanti uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Schilt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ruanti buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ruanti goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Ruanti is looking to slow Schilt down with leg kicks.
Schilt gets caught napping as Ruanti dives in and scores a takedown. Schilt manages to retain guard.
