Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uolevi Kaipainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaipainen's entrance music is Fredi - Puhu hiljaa rakkaudesta. A fine choice. Jesse Kelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Uolevi Kaipainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Kelly! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaipainen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kelly takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Jesse Kelly has been cut. Kelly shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaipainen napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kaipainen pushes Kelly away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kelly gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The ground and pound from Kelly seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kaipainen wants to get back to his feet. Kelly is looking to take a break and control but Kaipainen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ground and pound from Kelly seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaipainen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kelly has just dragged him back down to the mat. Kaipainen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kelly on the ground. Kaipainen tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Kelly off. It looks like it's working - Kelly slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Kaipainen displaying calm under pressure there. Kelly lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kaipainen throws the left hand but Kelly avoids the punch easily. Kelly listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kelly lands with a nice body punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice defenses there by Kelly. Kelly defending well as Kaipainen loads up on a big left hand. Kelly misses with a hook. Kaipainen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kelly. Kelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kaipainen moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaipainen tries to bum rush Kelly with a series of wild strikes but Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kaipainen looks to land a right hand but Kelly moved out of range. Kaipainen blocks a jab. A left lands for Kelly. Kelly ducks under a wild hook from Kaipainen. Kelly shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaipainen as he jumps to the side. Kelly shoots for a double leg takedown but Kaipainen sprawls well. He's pushed Kelly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kaipainen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Kaipainen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kelly counters with a straight right hand. Kaipainen misses with an uppercut. Kelly saw that one coming. Kelly darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kaipainen has one foot on Kelly's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaipainen throws a hook but Kelly avoids it easily. Kaipainen misses with a looping right. Kelly blocks a jab. Kelly lands with a good body shot. Kaipainen throws a jab when Kelly was well out of range. Uolevi Kaipainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kaipainen misses with a hook. Kelly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kaipainen slips a jab from Kelly. Kaipainen catches Kelly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaipainen was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kaipainen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kelly. Uolevi Kaipainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Kelly. Kaipainen looks to land a left hand but Kelly moved out of range nicely. Kelly lands with an overhand left. Kaipainen throws a poor cross that misses
and Kelly counters with a single leg into guard. Kaipainen didn't expect that. Kelly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly wants to pass the guard but Kaipainen is keeping the position. Kelly wants to control from the top but Kaipainen keeps moving. Kelly scoring with some ground and pound. Kelly throws a big elbow that misses. Kelly working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kaipainen's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kaipainen wants to stand and escape but Kelly is having none of it. Kelly slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kaipainen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kelly postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kelly lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Kelly lands an elbow.
It looks like Uolevi Kaipainen has been cut. Kelly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kaipainen is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jesse Kelly will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kelly keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kaipainen. Kaipainen throws a nice looking combination but Kelly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kaipainen missing with a left hand there. Kelly was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kelly ducks under a wild hook from Kaipainen. Kelly looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kelly moves into full mount! Kaipainen won't be happy about that! Kaipainen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Kelly with good strikes from the mount here! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice elbow there by Kelly.

Jeez, Uolevi Kaipainen's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Uolevi Kaipainen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
