Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Benga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benga walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Benga falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Mallon to counter with a crisp jab.
Benga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mallon moves away.
Mallon cracks Benga with a good jab.
Benga misses the body punch
and Mallon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mallon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Benga.
Benga throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mallon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mallon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mallon scores with a decent looking hook.
Mallon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Benga misses with a series of wild punches.
Mallon misses with a hook.
Mallon thuds his right hand into Benga's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Benga fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mallon sprawls well initially but Benga persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Benga is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Benga wants to free his trapped foot but Mallon is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mallon is defending against the submission attempts here by Benga.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Benga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Benga is working Mallon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Mallon wants to stand and escape but Benga is having none of it.

Mallon wants to sweep here but Benga controlling him for the moment.

Benga is in close to Mallon's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Benga is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mallon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Benga on the ground.
Benga chips away with some ground and pound.
Benga lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Mallon is breathing heavily.
Benga pushes down on Mallon's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Benga is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mallon is trying to stand up here but Benga is controlling him well.

Benga working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Benga looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mallon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Benga seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mallon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Benga takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Benga is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Benga decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kane Benga dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Benga has cracked Mallon with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Benga lands another huge swinging hook and Mallon tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Mallon, before Benga can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kane Benga!
