Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Echo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Plo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Plo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Echo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Patrick Plo! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plo swats away the attempt to clinch by Echo. Echo clinches up against the cage. Plo pulls Echo into guard.

Echo won't allow Plo to sweep him here. Echo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Echo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Plo swats away the attempt to clinch by Echo. Plo throws a series of punches but Echo moves out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Plo misses with a two punch combination.
Echo is looking to clinch. Echo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fight stays on the outside here - Echo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Plo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Echo is trying to get back to full guard. Plo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Plo wants to control from the top but Echo keeps moving. Echo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Plo looking to pass the guard. Echo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Echo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Plo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Echo tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Echo wants to clinch up but Plo keeps it at a distance. Plo swats away the attempt to clinch by Echo. Echo misses with a takedown attempt and Plo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Echo's guard now. Plo chips away with some ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Echo is on top in guard.
Echo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Plo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Echo manages to get himself to full guard.

Echo wants to improve his position but Plo is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Plo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Plo controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Echo has hold of Plo's hands but Plo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Plo winds up and cracks Echo with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Echo is looking to escape. Echo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Plo working Echo over with strikes. Echo manages to get to full guard.
Plo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Plo trying to control the position from guard on top but Echo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Plo cracks Echo with a solid left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Patrick Plo dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Plo with shots to the head and body - Echo looks very uncomfortable down there. Plo looking to secure an arm triangle but Echo defends it well. BOOM! Plo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Plo looking to control and managing it successfully. Patrick Plo has got the better of the ground game so far. Plo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Plo scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Echo?

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Plo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Echo is desperately trying to improve his position but Plo has a good base and remains in mount. Echo is bucking up trying to escape but Plo cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Plo avoids the attempt from Echo to control. Plo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Echo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Plo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Echo wants to get back to his feet but Plo is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Patrick Plo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Plo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Plo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Plo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Echo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Echo! Plo working a defensive guard here.
Echo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Plo is proving hard to escape from. Echo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Plo's guard. Echo is looking to take a break and control but Plo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Echo is looking to work some ground and pound but Plo has wrist control.

Now he's in top in Echo's guard. Plo scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Echo wants to sweep here but Plo controlling him for the moment. Echo trying to strike off his back.
Echo controls Plo momentarily but Plo frees himself. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Echo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Echo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Echo feints and as Plo raises his hands in defense, Echo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Echo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Plo prevents Echo from improving position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plo manages to get back to half guard. Plo regains full guard. Nicely done. Plo pushes a forearm under Echo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Echo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
