Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wiremu Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Savagery ! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savagery moves into the clinch. Savagery escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Williams connects with a leg kick. Savagery looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Savagery shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Williams scores with a hook. Williams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Savagery to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Williams wants to stand but Savagery is controlling the position. Savagery wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Savagery is working Williams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Williams keeping moving, preventing Savagery from controlling successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Savagery missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Savagery controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Savagery postures up in Williams's guard and throws a big left but Williams blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Savagery decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Williams, up you get! Savagery takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Williams lunges at Savagery with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Savagery 's hand. Wiremu Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Savagery fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Williams checks it well. Savagery takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Williams is predictable there and Savagery counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Williams! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Savagery trying to control but Williams is having none of it. Savagery thowing shots but they're missing. Savagery throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Williams has his hands clasped together but Savagery breaks the hold and Williams is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Savagery !
