Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ali Zhadar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colby Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ali Zhadar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colby Smith! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhadar swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith. Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Zhadar trying to control from the bottom.
Smith is looking for a kimura but Zhadar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage. Zhadar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though. Zhadar tries to get to full guard but Smith has control of the leg. Zhadar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. That's one minute gone in the round. Zhadar won't allow Smith to pass to mount. Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zhadar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith is keen to just control but Zhadar is a slippery customer. Smith is thwarting Zhadar's attempts to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ali Zhadar. Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zhadar is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Zhadar circles away and we're back to standing. Zhadar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Smith scoring with strikes but Zhadar is staying in there. Smith wants to control the pace but Zhadar is squirming around nicely. Zhadar is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith trying to control but Zhadar is having none of it. Zhadar sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zhadar is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smith trying to advance position but Zhadar counters by regaining guard. Smith wants to control from the top but Zhadar keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith lands a couple of decent looking shots. Smith is looking to stand up but Zhadar won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smith looking to pass the guard. Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Colby Smith was stalling too much, according to the referee. Zhadar misses with a head kick.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zhadar sprawls well. Zhadar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Zhadar slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ali Zhadar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colby Smith.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to clinch there but Zhadar circles away.
Smith throws a wild body kick that Zhadar sees coming a mile off. Smith throws a head kick that misses. Ali Zhadar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith shoots in for a takedown but Zhadar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A head kick misses from Zhadar. Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Zhadar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zhadar somewhat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smith wants it to stay on the feet. Zhadar is breathing heavily. Zhadar shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Zhadar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colby Smith dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Smith fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zhadar to the ground. Smith is now in Zhadar's guard. Zhadar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there. Zhadar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Smith sitting in guard here, content to control. Zhadar wriggles free and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Smith. Zhadar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zhadar doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Smith rushes Zhadar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Smith looking for a takedown. Smith tries to pull guard but Zhadar won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zhadar avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Zhadar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Smith attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Smith tries to clinch up. Zhadar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Zhadar takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard. Smith trying to control but Zhadar is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zhadar has a closed guard, preventing Smith from standing up. Zhadar keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Smith stays in close to Zhadar's body and controls the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Colby Smith was stalling too much, according to the referee. Smith scores with a hook. Smith tries to clinch but Zhadar moves away and Zhadar counters with a thumping low kick. Smith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zhadar's half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zhadar tries to get to full guard but Smith has control of the leg. Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Smith is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colby Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Zhadar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zhadar off to one side. Smith fails with the takedown. Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zhadar but Zhadar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Zhadar tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zhadar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ali Zhadar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colby Smith. Smith tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Smith fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zhadar to the ground. Smith is now in Zhadar's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smith is looking to advance position but Zhadar has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Smith is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Zhadar working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Smith tries to reverse the position but Zhadar maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zhadar fails to take his opponent's back. Smith wants to control but Zhadar is having none of it. Smith is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith wants to hold on but Zhadar pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is looking to improve his position but Zhadar isn't that keen on the idea. Smith tries to hold on but Zhadar pushes him away. Zhadar prevents Smith from getting the reversal. Smith wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Smith tries to escape the position.
Smith is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Smith staying busy and making it hard for Zhadar to control. Smith trying to control the hands but Zhadar breaks the grip.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to break free.
Smith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Zhadar is riding his opponent, not letting Smith buck him off. Zhadar missing with strikes. Smith wants to control his opponent's hands but Zhadar gets his hands free. Zhadar punches the canvas rather than the man. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith holding both Zhadar 's hands and preventing any damage. Zhadar doesn't have the hooks in and Smith manages to turn into his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Colby Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
