Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenny Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez circles away from the clinch attempt

and Perez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Perez manages to pull guard.

Perez is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Perez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing Perez from standing up.
Perez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Perez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perez is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Perez has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perez postures up.
Perez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Perez postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Perez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Perez passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Perez is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position.

Perez decides to stand up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perez pinned against the cage. Perez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Perez shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Perez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perez has gone for a leg lock! Jones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Perez's guard.
Perez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones!

Perez cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones wants to hold on but Perez pushes him away.
Perez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Perez wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones wants to control but Perez is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Perez working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenny Perez dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones slips a jab and a cross from Perez.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones wants to clinch.
Perez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Perez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Perez controls from within his opponent's guard.
Perez pushing down on Jones's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Perez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Perez is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer.
Jones is looking to escape.
Perez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Jones wants to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenny Perez wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perez.

Perez misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kenny Perez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Perez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Perez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Perez throws a head kick that misses.
Perez stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Kenny Perez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Jones.
Jones is breathing heavily.

Perez closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Perez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Perez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Perez moves into the clinch.

Perez pulls Jones into guard.
Kenny Perez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones won't allow Perez to sweep him here.
Perez is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.

Perez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Perez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Perez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Perez tries to get out of the position.

Perez is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Perez tries to improve position but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Perez can't do much from the bottom here.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Perez get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Jones shoots in and drives through. Perez sprawls well.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Perez circles away.
No luck for Perez with that takedown attempt.

Perez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Perez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Perez lands in his opponent's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Perez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jones has Perez pulled in close to control his posture.
Jones is trying to keep Perez in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Roy Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perez, pushing him back against the cage.

Perez manages to pull guard.
Perez wants to sweep but no luck.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Perez is keeping the position for now.
Perez is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Perez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Perez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jones sees it coming and defends easily.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Perez pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kenny Perez showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Perez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
