Yip Man comes to the cage accompanied by Everything in it's right place. Josh King has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yip Man cracks King with a right hand to the side of the head. Yip Man defending well as King loads up on a big left hand. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - King has eaten all the pies! A momentary lapse in concentration from King enables Yip Man to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. King manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Yip Man thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yip Man is looking to work some ground and pound but King has wrist control. King trying to control the position.
Yip Man looking to pass the guard. Yip Man sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed King's guard. Yip Man seems to be looking for submissions.
Yip Man is sneakily working for an arm triangle but King sees it coming and defends easily. Yip Man is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from King as he works his way to full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Yip Man postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yip Man wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position. Yip Man is pushing down on King's leg trying to pass to half guard. King is fighting to maintain full guard but Yip Man has managed to sneak the leg through. Yip Man is trying to work for a kimura but King is defending well.
Yip Man is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well. Yip Man is working for a submission of some sort.
King won't allow Yip Man to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yip Man is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Yip Man eventually gives up the hold. King is trying to control but can't.

King tries to roll over but Yip Man keeps him under control. Yip Man is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Yip Man will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yip Man has gone for a leg lock! King slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yip Man's guard. Yip Man looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
King stands and throws Yip Man's legs to the side, diving into side control. King is looking to take a break and control but Yip Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yip Man manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! King tries to roll over but Yip Man keeps him under control. Yip Man is working for a kimura but King is defending it quite comfortably.
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yip Man drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and King dives on top into guard. Yip Man looking for submissions from the bottom but instead King passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yip Man moves into full guard.
Yip Man is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yip Man manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.
Yip Man drops back, looking for a kneebar! King looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. King looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from King! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grand Master Yip Man dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A leg kick checked by King. Yip Man lands a lovely overhand right. Yip Man swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and King counters with a shoot takedown. Yip Man fights it but they end up in guard. Yip Man throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Yip Man is retaining full guard. King preventing the sweep. King cracks Yip Man with a solid left hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yip Man looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! King has picked Yip Man up and slammed him! Yip Man can't keep hold of the triangle and King manages to pass to side control! King is looking to take a break and control but Yip Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yip Man manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Yip Man is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed King to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yip Man is looking to advance position but King has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! King lands a big elbow. Yip Man is wriggling around trying to escape.

King unloading with bombs! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. BOOM! King connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yip Man is trying desperately to improve position. King with good strikes from the mount here! King lands a nice shot to the head. King fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yip Man is looking to escape. King lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yip Man is squirming around, avoiding King's attempts to control the action. King controlling his opponent. King lands with some strikes. King landing strikes, looking to finish! King looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Yip Man is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! King loads up with a big shot that hurts Yip Man! He's pulled King in close but King has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Yip Man survive? More strikes from King and Yip Man is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
