Patterson's entrance music is Tech N9ne - Like Yeah. A fine choice. Lee Patterson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Corpus's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corpus misses with a looping right.
Corpus takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like John Corpus has been cut.
Patterson shoots in and gets a takedown into Corpus's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Corpus can do anything to dispel that myth.
Patterson stands and throws Corpus's legs to the side, diving into side control.

and Corpus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Patterson lands a jab to the nose.
Corpus looks to land a right hand but Patterson moved out of range.
Corpus misses with the combination.
Patterson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Corpus.
Patterson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Corpus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patterson somewhat.
A head kick from Corpus lands but Patterson takes it in his stride.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Patterson.

Corpus throws a wild body kick that Patterson sees coming a mile off.
Patterson needs to keep his hands up - Corpus had a free shot at his head there.
Corpus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patterson in side control, throwing shots but Corpus defends.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
