Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cole Coggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coggins comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome Home. Peterson has chosen Remember the Name by Fort Minor as his entrance music. The key to victory for Cole Coggins has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coggins misses with the combination.
Thomas Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peterson fails with the takedown
and Coggins counters with a left and a right that stings Peterson.
Coggins misses with a jab, cross combination.
Coggins lands a really nice looking cross but Peterson seems unphased.

Coggins feints and as Peterson raises his hands in defense, Coggins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peterson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This has been an exciting period of action!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peterson is on top in guard.

Peterson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Coggins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Peterson is controlling him.

Coggins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Coggins looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Peterson has picked Coggins up and slammed him! Coggins can't keep hold of the triangle and Peterson manages to pass to side control!

Peterson has an Americana. Coggins didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Peterson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Peterson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
