Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evin McDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baxter Pepe Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougal shoots in and drives through. Pepe Jr sprawls well.
A right-left combo lands from Pepe Jr.
Pepe Jr closes the distance and clinches up with McDougal, looking for a takedown. Pepe Jr pushes McDougal against the cage but McDougal circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pepe Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDougal tries to avoid it but Pepe Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDougal to the ground. McDougal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pepe Jr is looking to slow McDougal down with leg kicks.

Evin McDougal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baxter Pepe Jr.
McDougal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pepe Jr's waist but Pepe Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDougal off to one side.

McDougal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McDougal has an Americana. Pepe Jr didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McDougal is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McDougal hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
