The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parlee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Parlee has hold of Melbye's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Melbye manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Melbye is trying to reverse the position but instead Parlee has taken his back - oops!

Parlee is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Melbye has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Melbye just looking to survive in the bad position.

Parlee cracks Melbye with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Melbye from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Parlee is persistently looking for the submission but Melbye is defending it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parlee biding his time, looking for the opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parlee lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Melbye.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Melbye rolls, trying to escape but Parlee keeps control of the position.

Parlee slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Parlee is cranking Melbye's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Melbye! He's tightened the choke and Melbye is tapping out!
