Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox's entrance music is Something I Can Never Have. A fine choice. Audet has chosen Black Eyed Peas - Pump it as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Knox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Audet! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knox rushes Audet and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Knox misses with a short punch on the inside. Audet tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Knox throws a head punch that misses. Knox has Audet pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Audet manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Knox takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Mickey Knox has been cut. Audet throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Knox blocks it with crossed arms. Knox lands with a light punch inside. Knox stalling the fight.

Mickey Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Audet has a takedown stuffed. Audet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Audet looks to clinch and Knox counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Audet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Knox manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Knox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Audet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knox tries to avoid it but Audet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knox to the ground. Knox escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sloppy strikes from Knox. Those never looked like landing. Knox has Audet up against the cage in a clinch.

Knox swings wildly with an uppercut but Audet uses good head movement to avoid it. The referee is keeping an eye on Audet - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Mickey Knox's cut is getting worse. Audet throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Knox blocks it with crossed arms. Audet is pressed up against the cage. Knox has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Audet down to the mat. Audet avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Audet doesn't succeed with the takedown and Knox counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Audet's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Knox passes easily into side control. Nice work. Knox staying calm. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Knox lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Audet down.

That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Knox will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mickey Knox's cut. That's time! Knox's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Knox stalks Audet and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Audet's face. Audet staggers backwards, shaken. Knox is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Audet. Audet closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Knox to the mat! Knox manages to get full guard. Audet throwing strikes from guard but Knox blocks nicely. Audet landing some decent shots from guard. Audet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Audet is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Audet is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knox is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knox has escaped and now he's on top! Knox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knox throws and elbow that misses. Audet uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Knox's guard. Nice move by Audet! Knox keeping moving, preventing Audet from controlling successfully. Knox working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Audet trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Audet loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Knox wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mickey Knox overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Audet scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Knox tries for a takedown but Audet sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Audet tries to clinch but Knox moves out of range. Knox lands a slapping body shot.

Mickey Knox's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Audet takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Audet misses with an elbow over the top. Audet with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Knox jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Audet walks away with a smile on his face. Knox gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Knox shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Audet's guard. Knox trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knox passes easily into side control. Nice work. Knox trying to control the position but Audet is working away. Knox is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Audet is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Knox seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knox cracks Audet with a big elbow. Knox postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Audet seems a little lost for a moment, as Knox dominates the positioning. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Knox throwing shots but missing, from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Mickey Knox showed his dominance in that final round. I think Knox has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
