The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs doesn't succeed with the takedown
so Buckley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Buckley advances position into side control!
Buckley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobs on the ground.
Jacobs is working to avoid the ground and pound but Buckley connects with a decent elbow.
Buckley works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jacobs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Buckley thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jacobs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Buckley pulls his head out easily.

It looks like Brandon Jacobs has been cut.

That has opened up Brandon Jacobs's cut even more.

Buckley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jacobs with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The cut above Brandon Jacobs's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brandon Jacobs's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
