Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Kerns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Brown has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jared Kerns! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kerns shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kerns gets slowly back to his feet. Brown looks to land a combination but Kerns avoids it well. Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kerns. Kerns closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brown's guard. Kerns postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kerns tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard. Kerns slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kerns wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Kerns with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerns trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kerns wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Kerns not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jared Kerns was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kerns throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kerns is in Brown's guard. Kerns trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kerns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerns postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kerns passes easily into side control. Nice work. Brown is not content to let Kerns control the position. Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kerns on the ground. Brown trying to remain calm as Kerns controls from the top position. Brown parries the strikes from Kerns easily there. Kerns is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brown to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerns trying to control the action but Brown is working from the bottom. Kerns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The ground and pound from Kerns seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Brown trying to remain calm as Kerns controls from the top position. Kerns wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy. Kerns controls the position from side control. Brown is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kerns connects with a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerns has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Brown is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kerns yanks on the arm and Brown is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kerns.
