Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Norris swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Jones drives through with a takedown into Norris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Jones postures up in Norris's guard and throws a big left but Norris blocks it.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Norris works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Norris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.

Norris darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.

Jones successfully pulls guard.
Norris won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Norris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Norris sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Norris trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

Norris gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jones has Norris up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Norris avoids it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Norris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones lands a head kick. Norris smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Norris.

Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Norris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Norris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Norris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jones forces Norris back against the cage and clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Norris showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Norris trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Jones will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jones throws a head kick but Norris moves out of range.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Norris pushes him off.
Norris slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Norris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Norris checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Norris clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.
Come on Norris - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Norris fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnny Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Norris.
Norris managing to block the knees to the body from Jones.
Jones tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Norris just stands there and leans against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Norris creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Norris is defending well for now.

Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Norris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Norris has escaped and now he's on top!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones wants to stand but Norris is controlling the position.

Norris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norris stops Jones from standing up.
Norris stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norris wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

Chuck Norris has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Norris lands with a slapping head kick.
Jones tries to clinch but Norris is having none of it.
Norris fails with an attempt to clinch.
Norris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Chuck Norris seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Norris is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Norris is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.

Norris jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jones wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving.

Norris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Norris is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Norris prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.

Chuck Norris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Norris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Norris somewhat.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Norris circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Norris circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Norris.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Norris which made him look bad.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Norris paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Norris shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Norris shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Norris or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.

And that's the end of the fight!
