Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Pitney!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sela lands a lovely overhand right.
Sela misses with a wild combination.
Sela throws a head kick that misses
and Pitney counters with a leg kick.

Pitney gets caught flat footed, as Sela shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sela wants to pass the guard but Pitney is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pitney striking off his back but it's not causing Sela any problems.

Pitney has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sela can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sela engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sela gets to his feet. Pitney looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Sela misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sela misses with a body kick.
Pitney looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Sela throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Pitney counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pitney.
Pitney wants to get back to striking at distance but Sela won't allow it.
Sela has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sela tries to circle away but Pitney has him pinned against the cage.
Pitney is trying to force a seperation but Sela has the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sela wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pitney is trying to break the clinch but Sela has him pressed against the cage.
Sela tries to break the clinch but Pitney is controlling the position.
Sela prevents Pitney from breaking the clinch.

Sela breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pitney misses with a takedown attempt - Sela sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Sela closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Pitney breaks from the clinch.
Sela pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sela misses with a two punch combination.
Pitney circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sela has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pitney has had enough of the clinch but Sela keeps him there for the moment.

Sela breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pitney fails to land the takedown.
Pitney blocks a jab.

Sela gets caught flat footed, as Pitney shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Pitney stands up and waves to Sela to follow him.
Pitney circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sela loads up on a big right hand but Pitney slips the punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sela shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pitney is trying to defend but Sela finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pitney is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sela's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sela's back!
Sela staying busy and making it hard for Pitney to control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pitney has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Sela! Can he survive? No! He's out! Pitney gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
