The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gogaga lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gogaga closes the distance and clinches.
Chavo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chavo can't get the takedown.
Gogaga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gogaga throws a sloppy head kick and Chavo moves out of range easily.

Chavo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gogaga pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gogaga dips to his left and cracks Chavo with an uppercut!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Chavo ducks right into an uppercut from Gogaga.
Gogaga clinches up with Chavo and pushes him back against the cage.
Gogaga with an attempt at a knee that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Gogaga dominated that round.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chavo rushes Gogaga and presses him up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Gogaga's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Gogaga tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Chavo's elbow.
Gogaga stops a takedown attempt from Chavo.

Gogaga effectively controlling the action here.
Chavo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gogaga can't fight it off and eventually Chavo manages to take the fight to the floor. Gogaga looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chavo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
