The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Marcus as Zhadar shoots in.
Marcus tries to clinch but Zhadar moves away

and Zhadar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Zhadar.
Marcus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Zhadar gets to his feet. Marcus looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Marcus misses with a wild body shot.
Marcus scores with a push kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marcus darts in trying to clinch

and Zhadar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Zhadar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Marcus wants to stand up but Zhadar is controlling him.

Zhadar stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Zhadar.
Zhadar remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Marcus is trying to get back to his feet.
Zhadar takes a little break here. Marcus wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Marcus looks to move to half guard but instead Zhadar has passed into mount! Damn!
Zhadar controlling the position easily from mount.
Marcus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Marcus is bucking up trying to escape but Zhadar cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Marcus wants to hold on but Zhadar pushes him away.

Zhadar swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
