Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Mak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solid Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddy Mak could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Solid Snake's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Freddy Mak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solid Snake! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snake ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mak moves away. Snake gets caught flat footed, as Mak shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Snake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Snake is keeping the position for now. Mak trying to control the position from guard on top but Snake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mak passes into half guard. Mak wants to work for an arm triangle but Snake is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Snake looking for submissions off his back. Snake taking some punishment here, with Mak in his half guard. Snake works his way to full guard. Good work. Mak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Snake is keeping the position for now. Snake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mak is one step ahead there.

Mak has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mak throws and elbow that misses. Snake uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mak's guard. Nice move by Snake! Snake forces his way into half guard. Snake trying to control the action but Mak is working from the bottom. Snake trying to mount his opponent but Mak defends it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Mak makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mak. Mak is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snake defends well. Mak keeping moving, preventing Snake from controlling successfully. Mak keeping full guard, as Snake tries to pass. Snake wants to control from the top but Mak keeps moving. Mak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Snake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Snake manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mak looking to hit a scissor sweep but Snake is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mak looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Snake passes into half guard.
Mak wants to get back to full guard. Snake wants to pass to mount but Mak is defending the position. Snake is looking for submissions but instead, Mak has regained full guard.

Snake advances to half guard. Mak actively working from the bottom here. Snake moves into full mount! Mak won't be happy about that! Mak sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snake pulls his head out easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mak gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Mak counters with a single leg into guard. Snake didn't expect that. Freddy Mak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Snake tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mak is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mak is pushing down on Snake's leg trying to pass to half guard. Snake is fighting to maintain full guard but Mak has managed to sneak the leg through. Snake gets back to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mak keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Snake's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mak stalling away here and it's allowed Snake to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Mak trying to control but Snake is working from the bottom. Mak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Snake working for a triangle but Mak defends it easily.

Snake stopping the sweep attempt from Mak. Mak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Snake trying to control but Mak is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snake passes Mak's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Snake performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Snake prevents Mak from improving his position. Snake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mak defends it well. Mak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snake pulls his head out easily. Snake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mak gets full guard. Snake slips nicely into half guard. Snake is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mak is just riding it out for now. Snake eventually gives up the hold. Solid Snake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Snake takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mak has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snake is working away from the top position though. Snake is looking for a kimura here.

Snake lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mak tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Snake has hold of Mak's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mak manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
