Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yuoki Akamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monika Szlesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akamara comes into the arena with Illuminati blaring out of the sound system. Monika Szlesz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Monika Szlesz!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamara tests Szlesz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Szlesz fails to land with a series of punches.
Szlesz looks to throw a body kick
and Akamara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Akamara counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Szlesz!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Akamara lands a big shot there that rocks Szlesz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Akamara shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Szlesz defends it nicely.

and Akamara counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Szlesz doesn't manage to clinch there - Akamara circles away.
Some bone on bone action there as Akamara checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Szlesz tries to clinch but Akamara moves out of range.

Szlesz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Akamara to score with a decent uppercut.
Monika Szlesz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Akamara ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Szlesz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Akamara avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Akamara fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Szlesz, pushing him back against the cage.
Akamara jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Szlesz walks away with a smile on his face. Akamara gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Akamara shoots in for a double leg but Szlesz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuoki Akamara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Szlesz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Akamara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Akamara is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Szlesz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Akamara postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Szlesz looks a forlorn figure.

Szlesz is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
Akamara softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Szlesz is out cold! Akamara jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuoki Akamara!
