Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Lauzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lauzon has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jason Ness looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ness misses with the combination.
A punch combination from Ness misses.

Lauzon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ness to the mat! Ness manages to get full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ness preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Lauzon is pushing down on Ness's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ness is fighting to maintain full guard but Lauzon has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lauzon looks gassed!
Ness is in trouble now - Lauzon has advanced to mount!
Lauzon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lauzon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Lauzon! Ness is hurt baaadly! Lauzon is firing away with more strikes - Ness is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
