The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sir feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sir tries to free his leg and advance position but Garcia is retaining full guard. Sir connects with a couple of short punches. Garcia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sir controls the pace. Sir tries to free his leg and advance position but Garcia is retaining full guard. Sir drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sir jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sir stands and throws Garcia's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sir is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Garcia looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sir gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Garcia is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sir lets go of the hold and Garcia can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pablo Sir! Pablo Sir spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
