Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koko LaRue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Barett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Koko LaRue! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Barett! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Barett does no damage. Barett digs a good body shot into LaRue's ribs. Barett misses with a series of wild punches.
Barett throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Barett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
LaRue misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but LaRue circles away quickly and effectively. Barett thuds his right hand into LaRue's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Barett scores with a three punch combo!
Barett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of LaRue's head. Barett throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Barett throws a right hand that LaRue ducks under and follows up with a left that LaRue also avoids with ease. LaRue tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barett was well out of range. Poor timing from LaRue. LaRue ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Barett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Barett looks gassed! Barett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barett throws a body punch but LaRue moves out of range. LaRue moves away from the strike by Barett. Barett misses with a hook. LaRue avoids the body shot from Barett.
Barett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. LaRue shoots in for a takedown and gets it. LaRue is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. LaRue passes the guard and advances to mount! LaRue looking to control and managing it successfully. LaRue lands a nice shot to the head. Barett looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Will LaRue go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
LaRue throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Barett!
LaRue knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barett on the ground. A lull in the action here.
Barett tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! LaRue looking to control but Barett is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Barett is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. LaRue is looking to work his way around to Barett's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. LaRue punishing his opponent with strikes. Barett takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. LaRue unloads with some shots from mount but Barett bucks and avoids them well.
Barett is trying to reverse the position but instead LaRue has taken his back - oops! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
LaRue is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Barett defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. LaRue scores with strikes from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. LaRue lands an elbow to the side of the head. LaRue is looking for the choke from the back position but Barett is controlling his hands well. Barett covering up well under a barage of strikes. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - LaRue's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barett is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barett looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Koko LaRue dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Barett misses with a series of wild punches.
Barett throws out a token jab with nothing on it. LaRue wants to clinch. Koko LaRue is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. LaRue showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barett.
LaRue pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. LaRue looks to land a body kick but Barett moved away. Barett connects with a crisp jab. Left hook, right uppercut from Barett. LaRue closes the distance and pushes Barett back into the cage. LaRue successfully pulls guard.
LaRue is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Barett looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. LaRue wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Barett trying to control the position from guard on top but LaRue is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. LaRue is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barett is aware though and is defending well. LaRue bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barett's guard. LaRue looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Barett is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. LaRue won't allow Barett to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LaRue throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Barett being controlled here, momentarily. LaRue makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. LaRue thows a big elbow that misses. LaRue trying to control but Barett is working from the bottom. LaRue avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Barett keeping moving, preventing LaRue from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LaRue looking to sit in guard and control but Barett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. LaRue keeping moving, preventing Barett from controlling successfully. Barett postures up.
Koko LaRue overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barett tries to stand but LaRue is controlling from the bottom. LaRue lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Barett!
That's four minutes gone in the round. LaRue looking to control and managing it successfully. LaRue is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Barett can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

LaRue content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barett is desperately trying to improve his position but LaRue has a good base and remains in mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. LaRue cracks Barett with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Koko LaRue dominated that second round. That's time! LaRue's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
LaRue looks to throw the jab but Barett is out of range. Barett connects with a body shot. Barett avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
LaRue throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Barett sees it coming and avoids it easily. Barett scores with a jab to the jaw. Barett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. LaRue moves into the clinch successfully.
Barett has had enough of the clinch but LaRue keeps him there for the moment. LaRue's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. LaRue sizes up Barett with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. LaRue scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Barett gets back to half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! LaRue is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Barett tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barett tries to get to full guard but LaRue has control of the leg. LaRue prevents Barett from standing back up.
LaRue wants to pass the guard but Barett is defending well. Barett flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
LaRue throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Barett is trying to control but can't.
Barett is trying to stand back up but LaRue is controlling him
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Barett checks the leg kick nicely there.
Roger Barett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Koko LaRue is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LaRue takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Barett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Barett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
LaRue thuds his shin into the meat of Barett's side. LaRue throws a head kick but Barett moves out of range.
LaRue swings for the body but Barett moves out of range.
LaRue lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
LaRue fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barett, pushing him back against the cage. LaRue prevents a takedown attempt there.
LaRue breaks from the clinch.
LaRue slips a jab and a cross from Barett.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barett with a jab. Barett swinging wildly here.
LaRue shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barett's guard. LaRue is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Koko LaRue wasn't doing enough on the ground. LaRue displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by LaRue.
Barett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
LaRue clinches. Barett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. LaRue just stands there and leans against the cage. Barett is trying to stall.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Barett creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barett is working for takedown but LaRue is calmly controlling the position for now. Koko LaRue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Barett. This has been an exciting period of action! A short left from LaRue.
And that's the end of the fight! Koko LaRue showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for LaRue, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
