Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tunturi Pony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Richard James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tunturi Pony! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice cross by Pony.
It looks like Richard James has been cut. James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James misses with a two punch combination.
Pony throws a one two combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pony counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pony. Pony trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pony has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pony trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James keeping full guard, as Pony tries to pass. Pony is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. James avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pony with a nice head shot there. Pony wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pony throwing strikes from guard but James blocks nicely. Pony lands a couple of digs.
Richard James's cut is getting worse. Pony throws a strike but James rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pony had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily. James avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Pony manages to escape and get back to his feet.
James misses with a double jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James throws a shot from downtown. Pony moves away and avoids it. A momentary lapse in concentration from James enables Pony to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. James manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Pony sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pony prevents James from getting back to his feet. Pony with a flurry of punches that miss. James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pony on the ground. Pony landing with the ground and pound. Pony seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Pony trying to control but James is working from the bottom. Pony advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pony controlling the action here. Pony is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Richard James's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Richard James's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
