Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Japheth Vasya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriana Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Japheth Vasya ! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adriana Lima! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lima fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vasya sprawls well initially but Lima persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Vasya tries to roll over but Lima keeps him under control. Vasya is working hard here to advance position. Lima seems to be working for a kimura but Vasya defends the submission attempt. Vasya looking for submissions off his back. Vasya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lima prevents Vasya from improving his position. Vasya looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lima is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lima wants to pass the guard but Vasya is defending well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Vasya displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lima throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lima feints and as Vasya raises his hands in defense, Lima changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lima slips nicely into half guard. Vasya looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vasya keeps working. Lima is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lima wants to control but Vasya is keeping him busy. Lima looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Vasya is looking for a sweep. Lima is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Vasya moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lima trying to control but Vasya is working from the bottom. Vasya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lima is one step ahead there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Vasya stuffs the takedown attempt from Lima. Lima gets slowly back to his feet. Lima looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Vasya ! Vasya is desperately trying to improve his position but Lima has a good base and remains in mount. Lima trying to control but he's not successful this time. Vasya manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Vasya is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vasya keeps working. Lima moves into full mount! Vasya won't be happy about that! Vasya tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vasya is breathing heavily. Lima is working for a guillotine from mount but Vasya frees his head quite easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lima working for a submission but Vasya is keeping him at bay. Lima is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vasya can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Vasya is looking to improve his position but Lima isn't that keen on the idea. Lima is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vasya has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lima looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Vasya manages to regain half guard. Good work. Lima trying to control from half guard but Vasya is working away. Lima stalling. Lima is looking for a kimura but Vasya is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lima to get the leverage. Vasya is looking for a sweep. Lima is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lima is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vasya is just riding it out for now. Lima eventually gives up the hold. Lima is looking to take a break and control but Vasya is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vasya is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lima's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lima's back!
That's five minutes gone in the round. Lima rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Lima makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lima. Lima manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vasya manages to get himself to full guard.
Vasya working for a triangle but Lima defends it easily.
Lima drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lima jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Vasya is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vasya had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lima is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vasya Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lima's back instead. Lima manages to reverse the position and now he's in Vasya 's guard. Nice work there by Lima.
Vasya is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Vasya keeping full guard, as Lima tries to pass. Vasya is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lima drops back looking for a leg! Vasya is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vasya manages to kick Lima off! Lima jumps back into Vasya 's guard. Vasya is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lima has his hands clasped together but Vasya extends an breaks Lima's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vasya .
