PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Axl The Prototype (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Crazy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crazy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sandstorm. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Axl The Prototype! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paulo Crazy! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Prototype gets caught flat footed, as Crazy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The Prototype wants to stand and escape but Crazy is having none of it. Crazy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The Prototype keeping moving, preventing Crazy from controlling successfully. Crazy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Crazy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Crazy stands up and waves to The Prototype to follow him. The Prototype fails with the takedown and Crazy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crazy wants to control from the top but The Prototype keeps moving. Crazy wants to stand but The Prototype is controlling his posture from full guard. Crazy trying to control but The Prototype is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Prototype wants to stand up but Crazy is controlling him. Crazy trying to control the position from guard on top but The Prototype is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Paulo Crazy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Crazy gets caught napping as The Prototype dives in and scores a takedown. Crazy manages to retain guard. Crazy pulls The Prototype in close to prevent any damage. The Prototype knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crazy on the ground. Crazy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Crazy is looking for a triangle but The Prototype pushes his legs off easily.
Crazy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for The Prototype! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The Prototype is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Crazy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. The Prototype can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crazy throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The Prototype is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Crazy locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! The Prototype is forced to tap!
