Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dylan Falls! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falls shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Falls fails to land the takedown. Johnson misses with a looping right. Falls doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Johnson counter with a right hand.
It looks like Dylan Falls has been cut. Tyson Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Falls. Falls looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Falls shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Falls shoots in but no luck this time. Falls with a poor takedown and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A punch combination from Johnson misses. Johnson missing with a left hand there. Falls was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Falls fails with the takedown enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab. Falls looks gassed! Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Falls with a poor takedown letting Johnson counter with a right hand. Falls shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand. Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson feints a jab promting Falls to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Falls slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Falls misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Johnson lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Falls goes down and covers up as Johnson starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyson Johnson!
