Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Hari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rua Nogeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogeira has chosen TIGERS as his entrance music. Hari has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Angel Hari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rua Nogeira! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hari gets tackled into the cage by Nogeira. Nogeira maintains the clinch. Hari looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Nogeira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nogeira takes the fight into the clinch. Nogeira throws an elbow but it misses.
Hari looking for a takedown. Nogeira pressing his opponent against the cage. Nogeira is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hari can't fight it off and eventually Nogeira manages to take the fight to the floor. Hari looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nogeira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hari swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nogeira is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nogeira drops back looking for a leg! Hari is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hari manages to kick Nogeira off! Nogeira jumps back into Hari's guard. Hari looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nogeira seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hari working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nogeira doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nogeira manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nogeira tries to free his leg and advance position but Hari is retaining full guard. Nogeira slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Nogeira controlling the position. Nogeira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hari. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nogeira stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hari shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nogeira as he avoids it easily. Nogeira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hari napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hari is trying to control Nogeira's posture but Nogeira avoids it. Nogeira stands up and we're back to a striking position. Nice takedown defense from Nogeira. No joy for Hari on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Hari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nogeira throws a head kick but Hari moves out of range.
Hari fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nogeira fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hari sprawls well initially but Nogeira persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nogeira is trying to control. Hari wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nogeira postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hari to stand up. Nogeira scores with a takedown into Hari's guard. Nogeira is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hari utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hari is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rua Nogeira dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hari feints and as Nogeira raises his hands in defense, Hari changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nogeira has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hari stopping the sweep attempt from Nogeira. Nogeira has his hands on Hari's head, controlling the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rua Nogeira was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hari shoots in looking for a takedown but Nogeira manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hari's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nogeira closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hari to the mat! Hari manages to get full guard. Hari working for a triangle but Nogeira defends it easily.
Hari is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nogeira got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hari has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nogeira has managed to get both his arms back between Hari's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogeira gets to his feet - Hari follows without any prompting. No luck for Hari with that takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Hari or perhaps it was just good defense by Nogeira which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Hari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hari closes the distance and clinches up with Nogeira, looking for a takedown. Hari pushes Nogeira against the cage but Nogeira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nogeira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hari has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nogeira is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hari. Nogeira trying to control the position but Hari is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hari is trying to control Nogeira's posture but Nogeira avoids it. Nogeira stands up and we're back to a striking position. Hari looks for a takedown but Nogeira sprawls well. Nogeira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nogeira decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nogeira moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nogeira shoots in for a takedown but Hari shows good takedown defense. Hari doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nogeira moves into the clinch. Nogeira prevents a takedown attempt there.

Nogeira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hari is trying to defend but Nogeira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Nogeira controlling the action here. Hari actively working from the bottom here. Hari trying to control here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nogeira working the head and body with strikes.

Nogeira lands with a punch from half guard. Hari wants to control but Nogeira is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hari trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Nogeira controlling his opponent. Nogeira's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hari reaches up to try and control the position but Nogeira seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hari rolls and tries to escape and now Nogeira has his back!
Nogeira gets his hands free as Hari looks to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nogeira trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Nogeira controls the action. Nogeira gets his hands free as Hari looks to control. Hari looking very determined here, making life difficult for Nogeira.
Nogeira slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Hari won't enjoy being in this position. Nogeira looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Hari is tapping - it's over boys! Nogeira picks up the submission victory!
