Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huan Mexican (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Huan Mexican!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mexican stuffs the takedown attempt from Peters. Peters gets slowly back to his feet.
Peters shoots in and drives through. Mexican sprawls well.
Peters lands a nice shot that snaps Mexican's head back.
Peters moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Huan Mexican has been cut.
Peters shoots in but Mexican avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mexican looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peters is fending him off so far but Mexican persists. Nope, Peters circles away and we're back to standing.
Peters lunges at Mexican with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mexican's hand.
Peters digs a good hook to Mexican's body.
Mexican shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peters as he jumps to the side.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Peters keeps the fight on the outside.

Peters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No luck for Mexican with that takedown attempt.
Peters shoots for a double leg takedown but Mexican sprawls well. He's pushed Peters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Peters wants to clinch
and Mexican makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Peters really felt that one!
Peters is breathing heavily.
Mexican defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Peters.
A combination from Peters does no damage.
Peters tries to clinch up.
Mexican is looking to chop away at Peters's legs.
Peters looks for the body kick but Mexican saw that one coming.
Mexican misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

No luck for Peters with that takedown attempt.
Peters closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mexican circles away.

Mexican gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mexican is taking a breather. Peters says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Mexican is thwarting Peters's attempts to control the position.
Peters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mexican is looking for a kimura here.
Mexican is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Peters has hold of Mexican's hands but Mexican slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Peters is looking to get back to full guard here but Mexican has managed to pass to side control instead.

Mexican swings around for an armbar but Peters sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mexican's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mexican keeping moving, preventing Peters from controlling successfully.
Peters wants to get up but he can't break Mexican's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mexican wants to get back to his feet but Peters is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Peters trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mexican avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Peters stopping the sweep attempt from Mexican.
Peters wants to get up but he can't break Mexican's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Scott Peters will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Huan Mexican's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Peters drives through and clinches with Mexican against the cage.
Peters comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Peters tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mexican just stands there and leans against the cage.
Peters fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mexican misses with a body punch.
Peters looking to stall.

Peters pulls guard effortlessly.
Mexican is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Peters trying to keep a closed guard but Mexican is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mexican wants to control from the top but Peters keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mexican fails with a takedown attempt.

Peters closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Peters has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Peters wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Peters will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mexican up against the cage.
Peters tries to stall but Mexican uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Peters drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mexican pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mexican drives through and clinches with Peters against the cage.
Mexican drops down looking for an ankle pick but Peters pulls his leg out and moves away.
Peters throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mexican tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Peters paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Peters throws a series of punches but Mexican avoids them all with ease.
Scott Peters is winning the standup battle so far.

and Mexican counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mexican.
Mexican slips nicely into half guard.
Mexican controlling the pace.

Mexican is trying for a kimura here. Peters looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Mexican wins by kimura!
